Carey Institute For Global Good President Honored by Open Space Institute

Carol Ash presented with 2013 Land Conservation Award

RENSSELAERVILLE, NY – On Wednesday April 17, Carey Center for Global Good President Carol Ash was presented with the 2013 Land Conservation Award from the Open Space Institute at New York’s Metropolitan Club. Former New York State Governor George Pataki served as Presenter of the award to Ms. Ash.

“I am truly honored to be recognized by the Open Space Institute. The mission of the Carey Center For Global Good is for people to use our beautiful setting as a venue to think without distractions,” said Carol Ash. “The Open Space Institute has protected many such places and landscapes.”

Proceeds from Wednesday’s lunch go toward construction of a campground at Trapps Gateway, which is at the foot of the Shawangunk escarpment, to be named for fellow honoree Sam Pryor III.
