Traditional Local Music Camps
The Carey Institute partners with a wide range of artists and traditional folklorists who pursue the important work of cultural preservation on our campus. Since 2015, we have hosted traditional musicians in partnership with: The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival; the Mountain Music Project, a musical odyssey from Appalachia to Himalaya; and, Old Songs’ “Down with Rent,” a performance of songs and stories written by anti-rent protesters in the 1840s.
