Join us for Amy DiGi’s opening reception.

While spending time in the Catskills, Amy DiGi discovers beautiful scenes which are timelessly captured on canvas. Working “en plein air” allows her to physically paint in her surroundings using her senses to collect information. This data becomes the inspiration for each painting.

“En plein air” painting fosters unique experiences. Sometimes there are exchanges with people driving past as she paints on the side of the road or with people attending an event like the hot air balloons festival in Cairo and sometimes she is painting in a pasture keeping company with little critters like birds and squirrels. Since each day is unique, there is no formula for her work; only a constant search to translate each experience into art and life.
