STRAUS
The Straus Residence, named after Gladys Guggenheim Straus and her husband Roger Straus, was opened in 1969.
Straus Residence is our largest residence, containing 27 guest rooms, each with a private bath. The residence building also offers two comfortable lounges with fireplaces and televisions, playing cards and games.
The lower lounge opens up to an outdoor patio with campfire area, and the first floor lounge opens to a spacious deck overlooking the woods. In 2004 a large meeting room and three additional common rooms were added to accommodate groups that preferred holding meetings and staying overnight in the same building.
