Merete Mueller
Merete Mueller (2018) is a writer and award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. Her first feature-length documentary “TINY: A Story About Living Small” premiered at SXSW and was broadcast on television in the U.S. and abroad via Al Jazeera America, the Canadian Broadcasting Channel and Australia’s LifeStyle network. “TINY” screened in more than 80 venues worldwide and was ranked as one of the most popular independent films on both iTunes and Netflix upon its release by First Run Features. Merete’s short films have explored topics related to the environment, infrastructure, technology and body image, and have been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic and VICE.
Merete is currently at work on “The Blue Room,” a documentary examining the impact of nature and wilderness on those most isolated from it—men and women incarcerated within our prison system.
