Carly Willsie, Program Manager
Carly Willsie is the manager of the Logan Nonfiction Program. She leads the vision and strategy for the program, manages the budget, contributes to development and fundraising, leads growth planning for the program and handles day-to-day decision-making. In this position, Carly has spoken about the value of face-to-face community among media makers, journalists at risk, the impact of nonprofit news, freelancer rights and collective action at multiple conferences across the world. She has been with the program since the first class of fellows in Fall 2015.
Prior to her work with the Logan Nonfiction Program, Carly worked in acquisitions at Greenleaf Book Group and in student services at the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, both in Austin, TX. She worked as program assistant to the Seminar XXI fellowship at MIT in Cambridge, MA.
Carly studied journalism as a Park Scholar at Ithaca College. She lives in upstate NY with her two young sons and spends her spare time writing fiction.
