
Audrey Jiajia Li
Audrey Jiajia Li (2019) is a freelance journalist from Guangzhou, China. Her reports and opinion columns—written in both Chinese and English—focus on Chinese politics, human rights, social justice and freedom of speech. During a time of increased censorship in China, Audrey strives to provide objective coverage to her audience. Over the years, Audrey has contributed to the South China Morning Post, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Guardian and the Initium, among other publications.
For more than a decade, Audrey worked as a television journalist producing and hosting her own award-winning and nationally televised program where she interviewed guests about Chinese current affairs, which included social justice, judicial reforms and human rights issues. She recently completed her studies at the MIT Center for International Studies. Audrey has also worked for both The Boston Globe and The New York Times as the 2017-2018 Elizabeth Neuffer fellow with the International Women’s Media Foundation.
