Alec Luhn
Alec Luhn (2019) is an American journalist based in Moscow who worked for the Independent and the Guardian before becoming the Russia correspondent for The Daily Telegraph in 2017. He covered the Ukrainian revolution, annexation of Crimea and war in eastern Ukraine, as well as the Sochi Olympics and 2018 World Cup. His writing has also appeared in The New York Times, TIME, Politico, Slate, The Nation and The Atlantic.
As a Logan Nonfiction Program fellow, Alec will work on a book titled “Putin’s Falcons,” which will discuss Russia’s emergence as a “geopolitical spoiler” for Western countries and would-be champion of conservatism.
