As of January 1, 2019, farm breweries across New York State are now required to increase their usage of local (NYS) hops and grain from the current 20 percent up to 60 percent. It’s an exciting time for beer drinkers and brewers alike. The use of more local ingredients will add variety, creativity and local flavor to an already robust craft beer scene.
