Carey Institute for Global Good Welcomes Annie and the Hedonists for an Evening of Musical Magic

Annie Rosen leads quartet performing blues, jazz, swing and more

RENSSELAERVILLE, NY – The Carey Institute for Global Good is proud to welcome a night of acoustic blues, vintage jazz, swing and folk roots Americana ,when Annie and the Hedonists take center stage on Saturday, December 7. Annie and the Hedonists, led by Annie Rosen, plays interpretive songs of great female blues artists from the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s, including Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith, Sippie Wallace, Memphis Minnie, Billie Holiday, Rosetta Tharpe, Blue Lu Barker and others. The band also provides a musical history lesson through the songs of Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and Mississippi Sheiks.

With a deep arsenal of songs and styles, Annie and the Hedonists have built a reputation as a band with no musical limits. Whether you like jazz, blues, country, Celtic, swing, gospel or bluegrass, Annie and the Hedonists have the talent to blend all these styles seamlessly and create a festive atmosphere with each performance.

Annie and the Hedonists is comprised of four musicians – Annie Rosen, Johnny Rosen, Peter Davis and Don Young – who have performed at festivals, concerts, and swing dances all around the Capital Region. Annie and the Hedonists have four albums, the most recent of which debuted this year.
