Carey Institute for Global Good Succeeds in GlobalGiving’s Accelerator, Becomes Recognized Partner of GlobalGiving

The Carey Institute for Global Good recently participated and graduated from the GlobalGiving Accelerator program, gaining entry into the GlobalGiving marketplace and becoming a recognized partner of GlobalGiving. As part of the Accelerator, our organization successfully raised $8,560 from 68 unique individual donors to support the Refugee Educator Academy .

“We’re thrilled to have Carey Institute for Global Good as part of our community. Carey Institute for Global Good has met our rigorous vetting standards for trust and community support, and we’re committed to providing tools, training, and support as they learn, grow and become more effective,” said GlobalGiving President and Co-Founder Mari Kuraishi. “GlobalGiving donors value the opportunity to support nonprofits like the Carey Institute for Global Good, knowing that they’ll get regular updates about how their donations are put to work.”

“The goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to help provide 10,000 teachers around the world with online training, resources, and support by 2025. The project provides open access to the refugee educator workforce including in schools, camps, and relocation centers in an effort to improve the educational outcomes for the world’s most vulnerable individuals—refugees. This project supported the training of our first 20 refugee educators,” said Diana Woolis, project leader and director for the Center for Learning in Practice at the Carey Institute for Global Good.

GlobalGiving is the first and largest global crowdfunding community that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country around the world. GlobalGiving makes it possible for local organizations to access the funding, tools, training, and support they need to become more effective and make the world a better place.
