Advisory Board Member Sheila Coronel Delivers Keynote Speech at Annual IRE Conference

Dear Friends of the Carey Nonfiction Program—

Sheila Coronel, an advisory board member of the Carey Nonfiction Program, gave the keynote address at the recent Investigative Reporters and Editors national convention. The state-of-the-craft speech documents what Sheila calls “the Golden Age of muckraking” journalism: impactful reporting like the Panama Papers and new groups like Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism that are defining a vibrant, global trend toward investigative reporting and writing.
