Local Rensselaerville author Joann Eckstut to visit Carey Institute for Global Good
RENSSELAERVILLE, NY — On Saturday, December 21, local Rensselaerville resident Joann Eckstut and her daughter Arielle Eckstut will be hosted by the Carey Institute for Global Good in partnership with the Rensselaerville Library to discuss their book, The Secret Language of Color: Science, Nature, History, Culture, Beauty of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue & Violet. Recently published, this book has already received widespread acclaim, including from such diverse publications as Dallas Morning News, Nature Magazine and Publishers Weekly.
“Our mission is to bring together innovative and dynamic people to share their knowledge and stimulate discussion. Hosting local authors Joann and Arielle Eckstut to discuss their new book, The Secret Language of Color, will provide an afternoon that will delight and fascinate”, said Carol Ash, President of the Institute.
The book has received praise from all quarters, including the preeminent trade journal Publishers Weekly, which said “those intending just a casual perusal will find themselves engrossed by this terrifically entertaining and informative volume”.
The presentation and book-signing event is free. Copies of the book will be available for sale and autographing by the authors. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the Rensselaerville Library. The Secret Language of Color was published by Black Dog and Leventhal Books.
